What is Nothing But?
Nothing But is a range of yummy fruit and vegetable snacks that offer a healthy alternative to the traditional baked or fried snacks you might find on supermarket shelves.
How is Nothing But made?
We use a clever little technique called freeze drying which means that the fruit and veggies we use in our products retain all of their natural colourings, flavour and goodness, so they stay lovely and tasty – just for you. We don’t add anything to them either, hence the name.
How am I eating 1 of my 5-a-day?
We’d imagine using a combination of your hands and your mouth. Not quite the answer you were looking for? Well, each packet of Nothing But contains an equivalent of 80g of fresh fruit and vegetables (the requirement set out by the government), which equates to one of your 5-a-day. Yay!
How much is 80g of fruit or vegetables?
Those nice little pots of fruit that you usually get with a supermarket meal deal are roughly 80-100g, so that should give you a good idea.
Is there really Nothing But the fruit or vegetables in each pack, or are there other ingredients?
Nope. We absolutely promise that the only thing you’ll find inside our packs are the ingredients shown on the outside. Oh and happiness. There’s lots of happiness inside.
What is this so-called freeze drying?
Freeze drying is where the piece of fruit or vegetable is frozen in a pressurised container, allowing the water to escape but locking in all of its natural goodness. It’s how NASA prep their food for space, and if it’s good enough for NASA, it’s good enough for us.
Are there other things I might have that have been freeze dried?
Lots of instant coffees are freeze dried (iced coffee anyone?), and plenty of cereals contain freeze dried fruit too.
